Diana Richman
1943 - 2021
Diana Richman, born Diana Lee Nelson, grew up in Long Beach, California. She graduated Long Beach Polytechnic High School, Class of '61. At 18, she spent the summer as a volunteer in Sequoia National Forest.
Diana had a brief career as a dental assistant, before marrying her husband, Leon Richman, in 1965. They would have been married 56 years this August.
Diana and Leon had two daughters, Yvonne Richman, and her youngest daughter, Tiffany (Hunter) Richman, who died in 2018 after a long illness. Diana is survived by her husband, Leon, and her daughter, Yvonne.
A full-time homemaker, Diana was a skilled crafter and designer, who was always known for handcrafting her exquisite cards, needlepoint, gift wrapping, and floral arrangements. With a love for interior design and all things beautiful, she took special care of her home. She loved making handmade Christmas ornaments; her silk floral design shop, Diana's Originals, was once full of her one-of-a-kind creations, English Chintz China collection, and antiques. Diana died due to complications from the Covid-19 virus. Although she was fully vaccinated and stayed home, her cancer treatments for lymphoma took away all her immunity.

Diana and her family would like to urge everyone to get fully vaccinated, and continue to be cautious and to please continue to use masks, even if you have no symptoms. If not for yourself, then do it to protect others, and those you love. It was Covid, not cancer, that killed her. Do the right thing. Talk to your doctor and get vaccinated.

My most recent memory of her was from the memorial service for Hunter. She was lovingly welcoming & gracious. Her home was comfortably cozy, beautiful, & interesting. May her memory be a blessing...
