I first fell for Ronnie as a teenage Coast Guard sailor, age 18, at the Peppermint Lounge, in Manhattan - 1963. What a voice; I became a spellbound fan! Little did know, that my affinity for her dynamic sound would make me into a lifelong musical afficiendo of hers! That powerful, yet beautiful voice - her style of delivery and the romantic overtures, always would excite my musical appetite. I followed her career for over 50 years, and never tired of hearing that musical splendor! I can remember the many Amtrak trips up from Florida, just to see her X-mas shows every year at BB King’s or the City Winery, and how excited I would get - just hearing her once again - from the front row! God Bless her, and keep her, for all the happiness and enjoyment she gave to the world, with that magical voice. Thanks Ronnie; I will miss you and remember you forever! A devoted fan and friend - Mr. Ness - Budd Lake, N.J. ❤❤❤

Rest in Peace Mrs. Greenfield, thousands will miss you dearly!
Jonathan, it’s thirteen years almost to the day since I lost a brother and you, a friend. Thank you for being there then and know our thoughts and prayers are with you, Austin and Jason now. Someday we'll be in the front row again as she shares the stage with another great local lady, Marion Anderson... and what a show that will be!

I will be forever indebted to the family of Mrs. Ronnie Greenfield AKA Mrs. Ronnie Spector. She was more than just an amazing human being. She was a life force and our national treasure. We always can just experience joy by just listening to the first three beginning bars of any bars of any song in her enormous music catalog. Although her family and friends will feel her loss more deeply. Her musical fan are deeply as affected as well. It was a joy to catch her shows at the Tarrytown Music Hall in New York. A truly great friend made sure that we had front row seats. I shall never forget her S.I.P. Dearest Ronnie.xoxxox

The world lost a true original. Rock and Roll Heaven gained one of its brightest stars. No woman ever has, or ever will replicate that unique, magical voice. I'm so glad I got to see her perform live in her later years. I loved her show not too long ago at City Winery, NYC, where she talked about her life and showed us photos on a projector. Rest in peace, Beautiful Ronnie.

I was just 9-years-old in November of 1964 when "Walking In The Rain" hit the charts. My older sister would make me walk the southern Jersey streets with her at night, while she sang that song at the top of her lungs - in the rain. I returned to our little cape drenched to the bone, frozen stiff, and one thoroughly humiliated little brother. Sing in Peace, Ronnie - and thank you for providing the soundtrack to my childhood.
