Ralph made those around him feel special, at ease. He was in the habit of putting everyone else's needs before his own. He was held dear by all who were lucky to know him.
Growing up in a time of scarcity in Florida, hunting and fishing was a way of life for sports and for family sustenance. After dropping out of high school, eventually joined the Navy.
During the Korean War, Ralph was quickly promoted. He served as a Radarman during the early days of RADAR to detect enemy ships in the fog and adverse weather.
During Ralph's Navy Service, he received four medals and two stars. He received a B.A .from State University of Florida and became a teacher. He then moved to California and became a leader in Social Services and used his talents, gifts and skills to reunite broken families.
After retirement from Social Services, Ralph enjoyed real estate investing, traveling, pottery, and continued his benevolence in supporting families, friends and even strangers.
What made Ralph Doster so special was his incredibly magnetic charisma and how people naturally drew to him. He made everyone feel comfortable, content and at ease.
