Larry was born in Michigan and moved to California with his parents when he was 12 years old. He graduated from Long Beach State University.
Previously, Larry lived in Surfside California and was an avid volleyball enthusiast and body surfer. He then moved to Belmont Shore where he spent the last 40 years.
He worked at the Paramount School system as a teacher and counselor.
Larry was awarded a sabbatical to study at Oxford University, England. He made several trips to Europe exploring the different places in England, Ireland, Spain, and Germany.
Retired and moved to Belmont Shore Long Beach in 1980 and resided there for the rest of his life. He loved sports and enjoyed discovering the many different cuisines available in the Long Beach restaurant community. He was a regular fixture at the Belmont Athletic Club.
Larry was a beloved neighbor and longtime resident for 40 years.
He was humorously known to his many friends as "El Klaw."
