Paula Bloeser, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on June 28 in Long Beach, CA. She will be remembered as a beautiful, vivacious, and loving person.
Born June 11, 1943 and raised in Downey, Paula graduated from Warren High School and Long Beach State University. Paula married her college sweetheart, John, in 1966. He passed away in September of last year. They were together for 48 years; they loved to travel, and saw many parts of the world.
Paula was a long term elementary school teacher in the Downey School District. She retired from teaching in 2003 so that she could begin her second career as a devoted grandmother. Her six grandchildren were her passion, they adored their Ahma . Paula has left her children; JC Bloeser and Alison Evors, with her love and strength, to enrich their own lives and that of their children.
She gave of herself through her volunteer work. Paula especially enjoyed working with The John Tracey Clinic, Rancho Los Cerritos, and the Junior League. She was a past President of the Long Beach Junior League. Paula was an inspiration to others, a role model, and a deeply caring person. She was beautiful on the inside as well as out.
Paula is survived by her children; Alison Evors (grandchildren Chase, Brayden and Reese), John Chase and Wendy Bloeser (grandchildren Kaylee, Macie and Gannon). Also her brother Mike and wife, Leanne McEachran, brother-in-law Jerry Bloeser. She leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
