It is with heavy heart we share the unexpected passing of Amy Louise Schwarz, 63, on May 15, 2019. She was a resident of Long Beach, California, and formerly of Kansas City, Missouri. She was born June 13, 1955, the eldest of two daughters of William F. Schwarz Jr. and Carolyn J. Buckingham. Both parents preceded her in death.
Amy graduated from Southwest High School, Kansas City, MO in 1973 and from Simpson College, Indianola, IA in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education.
Her subsequent career included 20 years teaching Health and Academic Success and 10 years teaching Physical Education, both at Millikan High School, after relocating there in 1985.
She studied at California State University, Dominguez Hills and earned a Masters of Arts Multicultural Education.
In 1988 Amy was initiated into the Elizabeth Benton chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, as a descendant of Samuel S. Wikoff Sr. of the Monmouth County New Jersey Militia. She later joined the Susan B. Anthony chapter of Long Beach, CA where she was serving as Chapter Recording Secretary before she passed.
She is survived by her sister Juli A. (nee Schwarz) Dirks-Kleine and Cody Kleine, nephew Jay H. Dirks and Melinda (nee McMinn), niece Heather L. (nee Dirks) and Mark McGee, nephew Clayton E. Dirks, three great nieces and a nephew, several cousins and many friends.
Interment is private in Woodhull, Ill.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring much comfort. Just knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
